The weekend has been good, declined a holiday to visit the Mulu caves, attended a hens night, lan party, slept till the sun was high in the sky and eating good good food. Highlight for me leeching anime from Eugene and now in MOH hard drive I have several new anime to watch!!!
School of rumble
Tenjo Tenge
Vandread 2nd Stage
Karin
Kare Kano (his and her circumstances) I can't wait to watch this one as I have read the manga and I love it!
MOH just installed Heroes Might and Magic V, it's nice but addictive. Something to keep me occupied if I don't get the internship at the Ethnic Affairs Office.
Not so good is now I have a bad head ache, my eyes hurt and tummy is having indisgestion. MOH is sick and I have tons of photos to post up but most of them are un-bloggable because their nasty (as all hen's night photos should be).
But still some of the photos will be up.

I just received a text from Yin this morning which said that the UMSA girls had won their first match against PETSOC (Canterbury) 10-3. Two more games tommorow against CMSA (CAnterbury) and PETUNIA (Auckland).
I remember last year that we beat PETSOC as well by quite a huge margin. So I think the game to watch for is UMSA against Petunia as this was the team that got second place last year. I hope the girls don't get too happy with their first win.
By the way the match between Portugal and Germany lookks to be mighty interesting. I think I'll go with Portugal this time as they are the under dogs against the host. They would have to be superly mentally tough to face the home crowd on semi finals.
Enough about sports, let us talk about politics on this cold Tuesday morning. I logged into my friendster to find an interesting link from my brother to this journalist Teresa Kok. She addressed the issue of phantom voters in Sabah and the dubious way our government seems to specify minorities in Sabah.
She went into parliament to question this findings only to be mocked at. Mocking Crows in Parliament. Another sad part for me as a Sabahan was when she mentioned that she did not get any support from the Sabah MP's during this debate although they too were some what worried with the situation. You see with the existence of phantom voters political parties can use them to cheat and win votes. This defeats the purpose of having a democratic system where the people can choose who they wish to govern them. It is suppose to be a fair and equal way of doing this.
The journalist had to be petty and mocking to get the Sabah MP's to rise to action as the next day they lash out against those who said that phantom voters in Sabah do not exist. They lashed out by giving out a press release.
This is abit...lame right? Why not stand up and voice out your concerns in front of the other government officials? Why walk away with your legs between your legs and then voice out your indignation through the newspapers? I think this is why Sabah is not progressing as well as we should be. We lack leaders who we can believe in. Gone are the days where the strong lead. Now are the days where the weak leeches everyones money and the strong are no more. But on the other side of the coin this could have been a tactical move on the Sabah MP's side. But I highly doubt it. But don't take my word on it as my inkling of politics ranges from Malaysian policemen and bribes.
There were some comments made that Parliament meetings should be aired on TV. After reading excerpts of Ms Teresa experience in Parliament I tend to agree with this suggestions. If this is what Malaysian government officials do in meetings and we as Malaysians can see what is going on they would have a re-election. No wonder our previous PM Mahathir Mohammad cried as he announced his resignation. He must have been thinking "oh what a sad state the government will be if they don't buck up! But alas they will never change" boo hoo. boo farking hoo.
However, I do admit that as a country Malaysia is slowly rising through the ranks and developing the economy which will help all Malaysians. We are much better off than most third world countries I can think off. We do not have big scale racial or ethnic wars happening. No one is self detonating themselves in our shopping malls and there are no volcanoes that could explode anytime under or above Malaysian soil. We are quite blessed.
However, the fact that we are blessed means that there is room to grow and improve. More schools can be built in rural areasa dn more money pumped into the education sector to improve the system. We could have better and more efficient government officials. Better rape laws, tougher prosecution for those commiting sexual abuse. A more equal and fair way of dealing business that can benefit EVERYBODY in Malaysia not caring whether they are Chinese or Malay. The list can go on and on and on but I'll stop here. Cause in the end of the day all I can do is write about it and the more I write about this the more frustrated I get.
Note: Apologies to those who do not iunderstand Malay as the links I have shown you, most of the articles will be in Malay. If you have any enquiries please do not hesitate to ask.
To the bitches, bark at somebody elses door.

I just received another text from Yin. They lost the first game against Canterbury 5-6 but according to her it was a close game. However, they won their second game against Petunia with a good score of 6-2.
They managed to get into the semi finals and will be going against Otago and MAssey tommorow.
Nice.

EDIT: I found out last night that the big match was between Italy and Germany
but could'nt be bothered to edit my blog untill I found out what the score was this morning. 2-0 to Italy and they scored in the 119th minute no less.
So dissapointing for Germany all those chances for them to score but Italy in the end broke their spirit and are now going to the finals. So sad to see the german players weeping on the field. How glorious it would have been for them to win the World Cup on their home field. But I doubt they would have made it anyway with some major upsets i.e England, Brazil, Spain not making it as well.
Now I wonder if the boys still want to take off from work to watch the finals or not since Germany is not in?
Till Then
p/s I predict that France will lose. Might as well have the hot looking men playing against each other in the finals I say!
