Banyak Lama Tunggu!

Hey hey,

I am now back In New Zealand after two and half months of traveling,
Dota, parties, celebrations and getting togethers. I had fun...too much
fun according to others. Never the less the end year celebrations were
memorable to say the least.

Due to some sort of malfunction on 20six which made it difficult for me
to post photos I gave blogging a respite and have now come back with a
vengeance, well came back with 33 photos in tow really. I can't really
remember what has happened to me in the past two and half months but I
will definitely try to give a good recap as I post the photos, sort of
like a photo blog la.

After Canada we arrived in Hong Kong with Tim waiting for us at the Hotel.

Tim is one of my uni mates from NZ and he showed us

the less frequently traveled paths of Hong Kong.

Which was pretty interesting.

I tried to take a photo of this old lady (without her knowing)

for she had bat like hair and this big fur coat on.

She was pushing this toy pram which had

the fluffiest dog you could imagine

all decked out in a Burberry coat and a diamond collar!

How very eccentric.

The next day me and my mum went out venturing on our own for Tim had to work.

We took the subways and ended up at Mong Kok

where rows and rows of shops were dedicated to

selling shoes. Sneakers, boots, moccasins you name it they have it!

Oh dear, I forgot what this market was called but it was situated in Mong Kok as well.

The sellers were coyingly nice when they ask you to buy their stuff

and if you show even a  mild interest they'll pounce on you.

Holding on to your sleeves imploring you

"missus, missus please buy this ___ very very cheap"

and if you bargain they'll say

"Aiyoh missus, very cheap already I cannot give any cheaper."

so you pretend to walk away and they will swear in cantonese "MAh FAn (bothersome)"

and yell at you agreeing to the price you bargained

while swearing under their breath what a cheap skate foreigner you are.

The market was quite an experience.

You should try it out sometime.

But do bring along a calculator so that you don't have to resort to

awkward hand signals which they will pretend not too understand

Mum doing what tourist do best.

Posing in front of big, tacky and bright ornaments in a foreign country.

Ahh, refreshments. Susu Kacang is the best!

When I got back from Hong Kong I arrived
in time to celebrate Rudy's Birthday at Blue Note. This old man is now
officially 29 years old.

Rudy preparing to be annihilated

Jeremy and Mike looking on gleefully

Not long after that Chinese New Year
came around and we had to don our red suits with funky ornaments on our
hair to ensure that the DOG year would be a properous year for us all.
Open house at my place with food, beer and many an pows. (lol)

Alex contemplating how to increase the amount of ang pows he has this year.

This is my uncle Clay who cannot be more than 34 years old

but I seem to catch him sitting like this all the time.

Super AH PEK ALERT!!! (ah pek: damn old uncle wanna be)

My aunty with her winnings from Gin Rum Mi

Super Kiasu Gin Rum Mi Player Number 2!

My uncle and his childhood friends.

Royline, her sister Veronica and Audrey.

Royline and Audrey are one of those rare people who actually try to keep in touch with me.

They are so nice that it brings a tear to my eye. (really bah!)

These group of people play Dota with me, cam whore with me,

go clubbing and try to make me drunk,

gossip about each other with me

and are entirely responsible for making my holiday one big mosh pit of fun.

After many open houses later my parents
decided to go up to the montains to reflect on life and to gamble their
hard earn ang pows some where else.

Up, up, up there in the mountains

My uncle and aunty enjoying their Durian

(durian is a type of fruit that is super yummy but smells and taste like shit to many foreigners)

It is an acquired taste.

Plus it helps if you like shit.

While they gambled we posed. POSE!!!!!

And posed some more la for the heck of it.

We posed so much up at the mountains that my mum decided to meditate

for a calm mind and to banish the cam whoring tendencies

that were about to inflict her.But then again I am her daughter

so it's in the genes already. No need to meditate.

After that calm foray into the
mountains it was time to PARTY!!!!! Rudy was going back to Kuala
Lumpur and Chee wanted to get drunk so we held a farewell party for
both of them. It was a night to remember because

1. Rudy was cross eyed (never saw that one before)

2. Chee humped everybody

3. Vincent was stumbling all over the place

4. Miao was... Miao was being Miao but drunk

5. Richard kept man handling me (wait this should be in the Fucking asshole list)

6. Richard telling me in front of everyone at teh mamak that "kalau sia
dulu period kah tidak period sia gasak saja" yeah Richard needs to get
laid by a pig.

7. Judy and Andy sharing a Water fall

8. Meeting Michelle

9. Ket going down after 2 glasses of chivas with coke (!!)

10. Ket's GF being able to drink most of the guys under the table (!!)

11. Watching everyone having a blast

I came 15 minutes late and already this group had finish a bottle of Chivas.

.......

Exercise constraint la MOFOS.

Rudy and Chee on their way to a happy night.

A girls photo with ket in the middle.

Who couldn't be bothered to move

I think it was because the world was already spinning

and too much movement might have made him spill.

By this time Chee was the hyper baboon and poor George was the zoo keeper.

Can you see who is drunk and who is not?

I was happy!

Thats Miao and Richard by the way.

I don't why they love this drink. It's so vile!

After this session everyone took a break
from clubbing to give their livers and aching limbs a rest. Then we
started again with Richards birthday at a Karaoke joint. Me and Irene
came late and boy were the boys happy to see chicks since the party was
mostly sticks. They were depressed.

Boyos.

Irene with them boys

Me, Pinkz and Chee

Miao trying to get Richard drunk as fast as possible so they can head out to play dota. *guffaws*

So yupz, thats about it. The rest of the photos are unfortunately in Sabah since I forgot to burn them onto a
CD. It was good fun catching up with the dudes. Getting to know them and
essentially finding out that this ones are worth keeping. Also I got to
spend more time with my mum, she annoyed and irritated the hell out of me
but it also made me realise how much we are alike and how much I love
her.

Tsk tsk tsk.

Now onward to another game of DOTA!!!

Till Then

p/s I wanted to P/s somethign but I forgot...

And so the beggining and end of summer for me

When I first arrived in New Zealand I was quite suprised to find
that  the morning was not bone chlling cold but warm and moist. It
was sticky too with the sweat sticking to my back as I shuffled my
luggage to the car. It felt like when you  eat over ripe peaches,
tantalisingly sweet and yucky at the same time. That was how it felt
like to be back in new Zealand. All good and bad at the same time.

After resting for a couple of hours I went to the Lantern Festival
around 6.30pm with B and his family. This year Lantern festival seems
nicer and muc more fun. Everyone enjoyed looking at the lanterns and
listening to cow awful singers trying to wn a karaoke competition at the
park.

Ber trying her hand at photography...sucks:P

A cool photo if you wanted to foucs only on the penguins

That's me and Ber by the way.

Focus on the lanterns people!

After browsing a couple of NZ based blogs they all seem to pick this lantern as their fav.

Well I will be original and say that this too is my favourite lantern out of all the bunch.

At the weekend B and his dad wanted to show me their new toy. A brand
spanking new fishing kite which cost Bron's dad 700 bucks. It was red
and big with hooks at the back. The hooks are specially designed to
hook only big fishies. So Sunday came (after a week of pure lazyness)
and we headed off to Pakiri beach which was about 2 and half hour drive
from where we lived.

I didn't know what to expect but I didn't expect a beautiful beach with big big waves and blue blue sea.

Lee and Bron happy to be at the beach

Can you see me and Lee?

Uncle's friend Chezar and his wife Christina

Jacqs all golden and happy back from her trip to Australia

Alas we couldn't do any kite fishing because the wind was blowing in the wrong direction

This is what I got for body surfing wrongly.

The wave brought me tumbling underwater, slammed me into the sand and dragged me up.

It was fun1 Serisouly! But the pain that came later was quite a party pooper.

After Pakiri, uncle and Bron decided to go to Leigh to fish as they
were not feeling quite satisfied with the days event. So off to Leigh
we went which is 15 minues away from Pakiri beach and uncle manage to
catch 2 fish while Bron snagged sea weed.

Leigh offers beautiful views.

So thats about it from me. If any of you guys are keen to watch a
football match there is one happening tonight at Albany where Malaysia
wil be going against New Zealand. Nothing much to ra-ra about but still
MALAYSIA BOLEH!

ho ho ho

Till Then
