After Borneo Paradise me and a few of my family members went to Mesilau
which is 2 hours drive from the city. It's a beautiful place and the
weather is like Spring in New Zealand. I only found out about the
Tsunami incident when we reach the mountain resort, funnily enough they
had cable up there so we stayed up gambling while watching CNN and BBC.
We arrived at Mesilau (no Negrito it's the name of a place not a greeting
)
after 8pm. We could have arrived earlier but my mum's car battery
went dead so we had to wait for about 3 hours before we could continue
our trip.
We took loads of photos the next day to make up for the lost
opporturnities from the day before. The mesilau trip was good fun as we
manage to stop at tte hot springs on our way back.

That is how his name is pronouced here in Sabah.
My baby has gone back to New Zealand
.
It was fun and such a revelation to have him here with me for the
festive seasons. He manage to click with all my family members (not
suprising considering what a charmer he is). That is why when I first
showed my mum a picture of him two years ago the first words she
uttered was "YEEER!! Look like a womaniser bah!" he he he h.e
I had a blast baby with you here and I hope (well not only me but the
rest of my family) hope that you can join us again soon. Preferably end
of THIS year. He he he Just kidding baby!
His last night out was celebrated in Cock and Bull and we had a low key
drinking session with a little bit of pool playing thrown in. I
would like to thank everyone who came especially Rozaline (auntie bah
itu) who organised the small gathering. It was a fun night with a lot
of indecents poses going around.
I miss you even now. If I had a photo I would say THIS is how much I miss you:

A birthday card that I made for my cousin whose birthday we celebrate last night.

Today, I went to Sapi island with Wen Ji and her friend Alicia
who came down yesterday from KL. She will only be here for a
short time (well actually she's going back tomorrow) so we
decided to show her at least one of the islands so we decided on Sapi.
The day started out gloomy with nary a sight of good weather, it
was drizzling and the boat operators were trying their damndest
to swindle us. One boat operator wanted to charge us an extra Rm 100
(50 New Zealand Dollars) just because we needed to go back early . You
see the process is like this, we choose an island and then we have to
wait for other passengers. The boatmen needs at least 8 people on the
boat before they can leave this is partially due to the hike in fuel
prices .
However, the same group of passengers have to decide on a time to leave
the island so that the boat men don't have to take make extra trips to
and from the island. we couldn't reach on an agreed hour so me and the
girls chip in an extra 30 ringgit and the price was still very low
compared to what the other boatman offer of RM 100. After much
haggling and bargaining we finally set out to sea, the journey to
the island was quite smooth but the journey back was quite choppy and
the soreness in my bum can attest to that.
The island was beautiful and serene, as predicted there were not many people
there and the sea was clear and cool to the touch. The sun only
came around 10.30 am but we weren't too bothered with that as we were
too busy exploring the island. When we arrive it was low tide
but by 11am the tide came in and the paths we used to explore the
island was soon submerge underwater.
I had fun sunbathing and then cooling myself in the sea while having to
deal with nipping fishies who were quite aggressive in their pursuits!
The girls were fun to hang around with and it was a lazy day of lazing
around in the sun and picture taking.
I had an enjoyable time today at the island and who wouldn't with the sun, surf and food readily at hand.
