The theme was white chocolate, everyone came in shades
of yellow, cream and white. I had a wonderful time last night. I
celebrated my birthday at Pizzeria in Mount Albert with close friends.
Everyone sticked to the dress code and even brought gifts even when I
asked them not to as I'm horrible with gifts. I started swearing and
bawling my eyes out when they churned out the gifts.
The Norwegians and Hanna chip in to get me a scooter
and a Winnie the Pooh helmet. I was so touch I started crying and
telling everyone off! Oh dear, I made a fool of myself that night. Marc
gave me a sensual smelling brazilian body moisturiser and wash. Sweet
smelling and a bit musky, he instructed me that the only way to use it
was in twos
Jackson got me yummy looking white chocolate which he
says is 'divine' and tear jerking written cards by everyone else. Eric
gave me a gift voucher for Whitcoulls which is FANTABULOUS!! as
Whitcoulls is having a sale now. OOoOooo all those books are going to
be mine! Mine I tell you!!
*ehem*
Anyhoo, I also got flowers that were so beautiful that
they looked fake. Courtesy of Roanne and Jem. Zan, Peter and Afif came
late but they manage to join in the revelry. Zan brought me a bottle of
Chardonnay and David and his date Hwei Gin (who was sweet enought to
come) brought a botlte of wine as well. I also got this lovely apple
shaped necklace from Arthur and Ali (it's sooo cute).
The patrons of the restaurant were very nice and I
think they make the best pizzas. Without asking they also gave out
donuts glazed with sugar as desserts. I didn't eat much as I was so
happy to see all my friends having a good time and I was a bit
emotional by that time.
Before the night ended I made a toast and said:
'I thank you from the very bottom of my heart and
soul to all of you , my friends for coming here tonight to celebrate my
birthday I am so happy especially with the added bonus of you guys
bringing gifts. I thank you'
And then stupid me burst out crying...again.
A toast for all my beautiful friends
Till Then
Through the dark alleyway I was brought to
I was met with a door so quaint looking with vines around it
I was met with candles and soft (soft lights)
I had the specials and I thought it was a nice dinner
untill a waiter came over with a candled Tiramisu,
He was singing Happy Birthday and I was so embarassed
and suprised. Never have I had such a wonderful treat.
I thank you B for such a wonderful night.
Yesterday night was a flurry of activities for me. I went to work, then played football till it was dark Score: 1st half 10-1 (my team won) 2nd half 5-4 (B's team won). B played with with his bro while in my team was me, Gelnn and Ivy. It was a good game just because Ivy manage to score three goals and me four
.
After football we went to have dinner at Asian Food alley. I like the food there, they have a decent array of choices and lots of spicy food. After dinner we went to Ivy's place for a qucik shower then zoomed off to K'road looking for a club called Baccio. Hmm...I was reluctant to go at first as my body was feeling all buzzy and mellow. Ivy's eye lids were half closing in the car while B was quietly driving.
Baccio is located on the second level of the Kiss club (which according to Ivy is very dodgy). The building was pretty nice with soft red lights and yellow stone walls. The interior inside was quite nice and it had a nice big bar and ample seats which had red leahter couches and funky lights all around the place. It was suppose to be a suprise but I found out that Zan was spinning there for the first half of the night. His set was pretty good an array of House and
....
The guy who asked me out that day just came over with a piece of paper which read 'Sorry for what I did that day'. Gosh I wasn't offended that he asked me I was just miffed that HE got miffed!
...
Anyhoo, yes Zan was playing an array of House and R'n B. I danced to a couple of songs. Laughed at some who were dancing on the dance florr. Looked at all the girls and boys who were that night (which were not many) and felt at home. Everyone there that nigth (well nearly) was Malaysian. B would have been bored to death if Ralph and Ah Fatt had not suddenlly appeared at the entrance looking as if they were expecting a long night of doing nothing. I saw them coming in the club and I saw B's face change and then it was like a signal and all three men were suddenlly smiling and their eyes gleaming. kekekekeke So B was setteld he had a good night there after drinking and talking with Ralphie and Ahh Fatt.
I on the other hand was enjoying myself untill it was cut short by the entrance of new DJ, Fei Bian (if I'm not mistaken). Now this is where I regretted laughing at some of the dancers as this time I was the one moving like a headless chicken. I had no idea how to dance to Trance! It went all super fast and shit then would go slow to a non-existent beat. I look to Ivy for some guidance but I couldn't copy her moves as she was a sawily as a snake and my body ain't that nimble HELL NO! I was just spastically moving when B came over and told me Just follow the beat. I was like huh? " Follow the beat if you can't, then jog". So there I was all over the place feet in the air hands waving and made a face that I was enjoying myself. When in fact I was jogging and doing some steps I rememebered from my mums aerobic class. I have to say even if I wasn't happening I was at least moving to the beat.
*if anyone has any idea how to move to trance, please don't hesitate to tell me*
We decided to leave around 12 and on our way to the car we saw this hot mama from the back with a short short short skirt only to find that it was a he with a day old beard and lots of makeup. B nearly hurled all 8 bottles of beer then and there. Me, B and Ivy made so much noise at the club and at the streets, it's lucky we didn't get any unwanted scenes. I like!
Hmm..apparently Stella Artois is really good. I had some last night and it tasted yummilicious. I don't like beer but I think drinking it cold helps tremendously.
Till Then,
p/s Zan is a wicked Dj.
On Saturday I had a massive room renovation. Moved the bed around to find out that fungi has been spreading quietly all over the once hidden walls. Moth balls were hiding underneatht the hard to reach places especially under the computer table. I finally had an idea how much 'junk' I had lying around and it was ALOT! Then on Saturday night I went to WildFire a club which has inspired me to WANT to learn Salsa.
It's a wonderful place for people who just want to dress up and dance. The men would invite any of the ladies to dance and I can tell you now they can move beautifully. I was asked to dance but I warned the man that I was not good at all, he just shrugged and beckoned me to the dance floor. He held my waist and I his shoulder and he whispered in my ear 'just follow and I will lead then' before I knew it I was twirling aroundm the room, the lights seem to envelope me and my partner as the music flowed around us. It was wonderful, I felt exihlarated, I felt alive. Caramba!
After dancing we had to head off home as it was so late, reached home around 4am. B had an sms around 3.30am from David asking him whether any of us wanted to play indoor soccer tommorow morning at 10am. TEN AM!! I wondered if we could wake up in time.
The next morning at 9.40am, NINE FORTY!!!!! Jumped out of bed, changed clothes, rushed breakfast (well Pearson did) and jumped into the car and sped along the highway to YMCA (well sped fast enough to feel like we were going fast but slow enough not to get a ticket). When we reached YMCA B saw David and started shouting and waving, we hail over to the side and David came over, we apologised profusely and David said "oh it's ok, the thing actually starts at 11am I told you guys 10am as I knew you guys would be late, Malaysian timing" Aiseh, all that rush for no reason.
Indoor soccer was fun, although some of the 'boys' were pretty cocky and David has a mean kick
It was good fun and my muscle aches can attest to it.
Injuries:
B: Toe
P: Toe
Me: Thighs
We'll be playing outdoor soccer later, anyone care to join us?
Victoria Park 5 pm.
Till Then,
I have live to see my twentieth birthday, but they won't and the sad thing is we humans were the ones to inflict pain upon our own beings those of innocence who could have been leaders of our world, future nurturers of our future generation and now that realm will never come to pass for them. There are no tears nor words enough to describe the sorrow of turning on the tv or reading the newspaper to find they have been lost. The confirmation in written word and voice is a finality I cannot fathom how such cruelty exist.
How does one say I'm sorry for the loss when we have no idea. No idea at all.
How does one save a nation where there is no nation to be saved?
May God save their souls.

I say slow
O
Slow!
O
Slow!
kakakakakakkaak
(well I took this from the Norwegians when they were very drunk)
